Since 2008 we’ve been perfecting the remote video workflow, serving clients from around the globe from our HQ in California. We utilize technology (including AI) and seamless communication to ensure that you get your project on time, on budget and with all of your expectations met.
1 - First Touch
Once you’ve contacted us, we will promptly reply and set up an initial meeting - the first touch. This will help us understand your needs and desires and the problems you want to solve with video. We’ll discuss potential solutions, budget, and timeline and then promptly get back to you with our thoughts and next steps. This call usually takes about 30 minutes.
2 - Discovery Meeting
Every video project that you make with VeracityColab will team led. This team of video experts and strategists will lead an initial Discovery Meeting to ensure your project gets started on the right foot, as we ask all kinds of questions that will inform us on how to best serve you and hit your goals. The Account Development Manager (ADM), the Founder and Video Strategy Manager (VSM) and the Creative Director (CD) for your specific project will all work together to ensure world-class, on-brand quality and friendly and fast communication. We will be with you every step of the way to ensure that expectations are clear and you are never in the dark.
3 - The Creative Brief
One of our core values at VeracityColab is to “Measure Twice, Cut Once.” That’s why, before writing your script, we deliver a Creative Brief back to your team to make sure that we heard you perfectly during the Discovery Meeting. Included in the Creative Brief is the Key Persuasion (KP). This is a one sentence “mission statement” for your video. We use the KP to ensure that every creative decision throughout the entire project is guided by a common goal between your team and our agency.
4 - The Script
It’s not hard to argue that writing a great script is the most important part of the video-making process. The quality of the script greatly influences the rest of the video - good or bad. That’s why we take the collaborative process of script writing so seriously. Any comments that you put on the script, you can be sure that our team will respond to and come up with creative copy solutions in return. It’s also important to note that the script writing process is a lot easier with a Key Persuasion in place (see “The Creative Brief”). In fact, we estimate it speeds up the process by about 50% on average.
5 - The Storyboard
The storyboard is the last stop until the “cement dries,” because making changes in video beyond this point can be very difficult and costly. It’s so important to make sure that the vision is clear to you and your team and that everyone is excited about the creative direction. We will deliver a detailed storyboard that will provide the direction of the overall movement and the look & feel of the video. This allows your team to truly imagine what the video will look like when the rough cut is delivered. The more detailed the storyboard is, the less changes your team will have during the Rough Cut stage, speeding the process up while avoiding unnecessary changes, hidden costs, and frustration.
6 - The Rough Cut
Once the Storyboard is approved, we’ll get to work crafting all of the elements of your video. We’ll get your video about 90% finished so that you can clearly see what the final video will look like while leaving a little room for changes. When it’s time for your team to deliver feedback on the Rough Cut, we use a tool called Frame.io. It’s a brilliant way for your team to leave frame-accurate notes with the ability to draw and type right on the video - so that nothing is lost in translation. This also allows us to be incredibly efficient, saving you time and energy. In fact, we’ve found that incorporating Frame.io into our process has put a lot of smiles on our clients’ faces.
7 - Final Delivery
Because we’re a video agency and not simply a production company, we care about what happens to your video after we do a final export. Our team will make sure that you have the video delivered in the right aspect ratio and format for the channel(s) you’ll be playing it on. Sometimes we hand off files to your very capable marketing team or we can get involved in placing the video in the right player or marketing channel for you. It all depends on your needs and the type of video project. And if you have any questions or needs long after we’ve delivered the final files, we’re always ready to help… as if we were an extension of your internal team.
